Driving lessons

For persons who live in Holland who find it easier to converse and/or study in English, it is also possible to follow all the practical lessons in English.


We don’t charge internet costs, you’re free to start and you are free to decide what packet you wish to choose. If you choose for one from January the first of 2024 the standard rate for a theoretical examination (cat B) is € 41,00. The CBR charges an additional fee for administering. The theory examination is in Group session.


The theory examination is administered in English by CBR for groups At this moment the additional fee is € 5,50 for a person attending a group examination.


In some cases it is possible to take the theory exam individually. You can also take this exam with the help of an interpreter. You must hire the interpreter at TolkenNet, at least 2 weeks before the exam. This is not free of charge. The interpreter service costs including VAT € 167,-. For your reservation www.cbrtolkennet.com, you can fill out the form as completely as possible. Please fill in this form and sent, you will receive a confirmation of your booking. You then know that the interpreter appears at the agreed time and place.


Documents required.

In order to be admitted to the theory test you will need to provide the following documents: a legally recognized, valid form of identification.

The conventional theory exam can also be taken in English. You can book the exam yourself using the CBR’s online reservation service at http://www.cbr.nl/reservering.pp, or ask your driving school to help you.

An individual exam can be taken in a language other than Dutch with the aid of an interpreter. You need to hire the interpreter yourself through the firm TolkenNet. This must be done at least two weeks prior to the exam date. Bookings can be made at www.tolkennet.nl/cbr. The cost of the interpreter will be for your own account, in addition to the cost of the individual exam itself. Click on Ask a question for more information or ask your driving school for details.

Your driving instructor can tell you whether you qualify for an individual theory exam and make the necessary booking for you. A surcharge applies if you take an individual exam or take the conventional exam in a language other than Dutch.(source CBR).
